Today is the day when all the children around the whole world make cards, poems, pictures for their mothers. Some give gifts, enjoy food or maybe just spend time together with Mothers and these are all examples of ways children try to give back to their parents.

Not just on Mother’s Day we should bring our parents joy, every day we should do chores, make our parents happy, or try to help them cook. We should think about doing these important things every day, to make every day as Mother’s Day.

Once, a man came to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked them “who deserves the best treatment”? The Holy Prophet Muhammad answered, “your mother”. Then the man asked another time and the Holy Prophet Muhammad answered again, “your mother”. The third time again he was asked, he replied with the same response “your mother”. The fourth time when he was asked he replied, “your father”.

Since the Holy Prophet Muhammad said, “your mother” more times than “your father”, this means we should be grateful that she raised us and she loves us a lot. But this doesn’t mean that we should not be grateful to our fathers (I mentioned that because I wanted to 😊).
